Three new trim levels — Touring, Limited Platinum and 200C Platinum — are available. A Dark Appearance Package for the Touring trim adds 18-inch gloss-black wheels, headlights with black surrounds and gloss-black exterior trim.

A 90th Anniversary Package is available for the Limited trim level and includes an 8.4-inch touch-screen, SiriusXM satellite radio with one free year of service, a sunroof, heated side mirrors, a power driver’s seat and front floormats with an anniversary logo. The 8.4-inch touch-screen now supports Siri Eyes Free capability for the iPhone 4S and later models, and also lets users customize the menu bar by dragging and dropping icons.

With the release of the 2015 Chrysler 200, the automaker finally has a legitimate contender in the midsize class. Chrysler has transformed the underdog of its lineup into a refined, stylish, comfortable, and affordable sedan that the competition can’t help but care about. The 200 is a redesigned from scratch, sharing a platform and some components with the Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee. It is completely redesigned inside and out, with upgraded powertrains, a redesigned cabin, and added convenience and safety features like all-wheel drive and park assist. The Chrysler 200 is available this year in sedan body only; the convertible has been discontinued.

There were no major changes to the 2014 Chrysler 200.

For 2013, the sedan and convertible body styles return – hardtop and soft top – as well as the Chrysler 200 received some suspension upgrades this year. The sedan remained unchanged from 2012.

There are few changes for 2012, just some new interior and exterior colors. The convertible can be equipped with a V-6 or four-cylinder engine, and, along with the two-seat Mazda MX-5 Miata, it is the only convertible with a choice of two engine types. The top: a standard PowerType fabric top or an optional body-colored hardtop retractable roof. The latter adds weight and cost. It also changes the headroom slightly, adding a little more for the front seat and removing some in the back.

Instead, the 2011 Sebring gets the “200” name, updated sheetmetal, a new interior and a redesigned chassis, but it remains at least one step behind the best-selling family sedan on the market. The Sebring is available as a five-seat sedan or a four-seat convertible. Both layouts offer a four-cylinder or six-cylinder engine. The interior of the Model 200 has undergone a major update, so it has become one of its strengths. Chrysler needs to get rid of some Sebring relics, including clunky window controls and flimsy turn indicators and wipers, but the interior materials are impressive for this class. The problem is that the Sebring’s small size continues to live on. The 200 sedan’s interior volume is a modest 100.3 cubic feet — 2.2 cubic feet less than the Sebring, and that’s not much for this class. It shows: the size of the front seats is nine-tenths the size they should be.
