MB 226.5

This specification is required for Mercedes vehicles with gasoline engines supplied by the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Specification requirements are similat to MB 229.5.

MB 226.51

This specification is based on RN0720 and is recommended for Mercedes vehicles with DPF fitted diesel engines supplied by Renault. Oils meeting this specification have very good thermal stability and after-treatment compatibility.

MB 229.1

For petrol and diesel engines. Minimum quality required ACEA A2/B2 with additional limits on the engine.

MB 229.3

For petrol and diesel engines. Minimum quality required ACEA A3 / B3 / B4 and MB 229.1. It can only certify 0/ 5 W-x oils.

MB 229.31

Multigrade, low SAPS engine oil, advised for both diesel and petrol engines of Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and Chrysler. Only low viscosity engine oils which can realize a 1.0% saving on used fuel in the M111 Fuel economy test (CEC L-54-T-96) can get this approval. In this test, the fuel savings are compared to the performance of the Reference oil RL 191 (SAE 15W-40).

MB 229.5

MB sheet for energy conserving oils for a certain car and van engines. Approved oils must meet ACEA A3, B3, and B4 specifications and some additional demands by Daimler Chrysler AG. Oil must be on the approval list.

MB 229.51

Low SAPS Long Life engine oil for diesel engines with particle filter meeting emission EU-4 – standards.

MB 229.52

Oils meeting these specifications must have lower ash content, at least 1% better fuel economy compared to the requirements of MB 229.31 and MB 229.51, and better oxidation stability for biofuel compatibility. It Can also be used where an MB 229.31 or an MB 229.51 oil is required. Just like MB 229.5 and MB 229.51, this spec requires a long-life oil.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Generations

Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W214) 2020 (2020, 2021), 20 generation

The German brand with the three-pointed star introduced an updated version of its esteemed E-Class executive sedan in 2020 as a measure for Euro 6d standards, which took effect in January 2021.Mercedes-Benz introduced a facelift in 2020 with a new set of LED headlights and flatter housings, while multi-beam LED headlights, including ultra-long-range headlights, were available as options. The -shaped shape of the lower front grille enhanced the dynamic style. Two domes on the hood resembled a V-engine, although some models received in-line four-cylinder units. Newly designed LED taillights and a chrome splitter made the car sportier. The AMG line featured a different aerodynamic package.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W213) 2016 (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020), 19 generation

The fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was unveiled at the 2016 North American International Auto Show. It was a clear departure from the previous design language. Inside, the 2016 E-Class offered two high-resolution displays, each with a wide 12.3-inch diagonal, a first in the segment. Under the overall class cover, the two displays looked like widescreen displays, forming a single horizontal long display with the instrument cluster and infotainment system. In addition, touch-screen control buttons (“Touch Controls”) on the steering wheel made their first appearance in a car. Like the smartphone interface, they responded to horizontal and vertical movements, allowing the driver to control the entire infotainment system using finger movements without removing his hands from the steering wheel. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class was launched with a choice of two engines: the E 200 with a four-cylinder gasoline engine and the E 220 d with an all-new four-cylinder diesel engine.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W212) 2013 (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), 18 generation

The 2013 E-Class takes a big step forward, offering fresh design, efficient engines and good dynamics. The first changes that catch the eye are to the front of the car. The headlights have been redesigned, and the “four-eye” look has been retained, but all the headlight elements are combined under a single glass. LED technology is now standard on the redesigned headlights. Other changes to the front fascia include larger air vents and a new grille, which comes in two shapes depending on the trim level: a stylish three-dimensional Sedan grille for the base and Elegance E-Class versions and a sportier one for the Avantgarde. model and AMG Line models. The side view features restyled lines that make the car look longer, while the rear end gets restyled LED lights and a bumper. Just as carefully and stylishly designed is the interior, which blends harmoniously with the exterior.
