Nissan Note Generations
Nissan Versa/Note 2017 (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), 4st generation
The previous base S trim with a manual transmission has been discontinued. Other changes include larger cup holders, a relocation of the USB port and 12-volt outlets, and the addition of a second 12-volt outlet on some trims. Nissan hatchback seats five and is offered in four trim levels: S Plus, SV, SR and SL. It’s powered by a 1.6 liter four cylinder engine 109 hp, 145 Nm of torque, routed through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) on the way to the front wheels.
Nissan Note 2013 (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017), 3st generation
Combining affordability with technology and comfort, Nissan makes another entry into the small-car market with the Note / Versa Note. Unlike another B-segment car, the Micra, this one has plenty of room for passengers, plenty of storage space: 295 liters in the trunk and another 30 in the underfloor storage compartment. By sliding the rear couch forward, you can increase the cargo space to 411 liters, or fold it down. The Nissan Note of this lineup is very well-designed and equipped with things you wouldn’t expect, such as a rearview camera or traffic sensors to detect cars in your blind spot or lane departure warnings.
Nissan Note 2008 (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), 2st generation
Nissan brought some important changes to the Note model for 2008. The restyled compact car featured new headlights, hood, grille and bumper at the exterior and a revised instrument panel at the interior. The car was also available with 2WD and 4WD configurations, while also featuring more economical engines. The HR15DE 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine has been revised, as well as the XTRONIC CVT gearbox. Nissan also introduced the revised model with a new ‘Plus navi HDD’ upgrade (optional).
Nissan Note 2005 (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008), 1st generation
Tall, narrow and long, the 2005 Note could accommodate five adults in a small car that was easy to drive, easy to park and good to drive in the city. But style was not its main attribute. The gloomy headlights, short hood, and tall greenhouse didn’t appeal to Europeans. The front was fitted with a high bumper and narrow grille. They said it would be good against parking lot trade paints. A vertical rear end helped the driver, but overall the car resembled a truck more than a family car. Inside, there was enough room for five adults. Three seats in the back with more than enough legroom and headroom. Isofix child seat attachment points and seat belts for everyone on board were welcome from a safety standpoint. A sliding rear bench made it possible to swap in luggage or legroom. For long trips, the glove compartment was cooled and could hold up to 13 beverage cans. The Nissan Note was offered with a choice of four engines mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and another version mated to a variator. But sales went wrong, and production of the small minivan was discontinued in 2013.
